How to Avoid a Burst Pipe

With colder months approaching, burst pipes are more common for this time of year. Make sure to check all of your pipes for freezing. You can leave the cabinet doors open for those really cold nights and days on exterior walls, which will allow heat in your home to transfer to these areas. Make sure to keep any chemicals or cleaners out of reach of children and pets. You can also cover exposed pipes with foam insulation. Most local hardware stores have this in stock. Make sure no water hoses are connected to the outside spigot as this will cause your pipe to burst sending water into your home.
If you find yourself in need of water restoration services due to a burst pipe, BuckCreek Restoration and Home Solutions is here to help. We are dedicated to meeting and exceeding client expectations, and provide outstanding workmanship on every job. BuckCreek Restoration and Home Solutions is IICRC Certified and Fully Insured.
